Did you tear during birth? My first birth resulted in an attempted vaccum delivery, episiotomy, and second-ish degree tearing. Though I never actually learned what they calssified my tear as- I’m just taking a wild guess. Preventing tearing gets a lot of attention. While you can do a lot to reduce your risk of more severe tearing, tears happen. And unfortunately how to recover if you did have tearing or a more complicated vaginal birth doesn’t get as much attention as preveneting birth tearing.

Has your newborn shown signs of a blocked tear duct (eye goopy & puffy) or an eye infection?
