2023年10月10日 · Yes, once the file has been saved in InDesign 2024, the icon does show up. But not for any of the other files that weren't resaved. BUt there must be a way to force all of the files to have the correct icon. Interestingly, in the Save or Save AS dialog, the icons DO show up for all Indesign files. But not in Windows Explorer.

2023年10月10日 · After installing, all .indd files were not associated with the new InDesign. So I went to "Open With" and selected the new InDesign.exe file. (It did not show up in the initial list and I had to search for it). Now the files will open automatically, but the file icon for all indd files is still the blank white box instead of showing the ID logo.

2019年12月20日 · So I did the uninstall. Once uninstalled, all the .indd files now no longer have the Indesign icon. The will still open when double-clicked, so I know that the .indd file extension is associated with InDesign 2020, but no icon. Interestingly, I did the exact same thing with Photoshop and Illustrator, but no icon problems there -only with InDesign.

2019年4月8日 · It's an OS thing, and not an InDesign thing. If you are using Mac OS, select one of your InDesign files and go to File>Get Info. You will see Open With: somewhere in the middle. Select InDesign (version of your choice), and see if that helps. You can click the Change All button if it works. Not sure about Windows, but I think it's similar.
