The 02 kids playing support group is what they do. I rewatched 02 recently and it was almost never about the 02 kids themselves. The first half is almost entirely about Ken, and even after he joins all his development is tied to his time as the Digimon Kaiser.

2020年4月6日 · Digimon Adventure 02 is an odd one for me. When I was a kid, it was aired more often than Adventure, due to it having better dubbed version. But after episode 26, it switched to being a subbed version (which is why the japanese cast of 02 is more nostalgic for me, than the Adventure's). I don't know why, but I never really complained about it.

2023年7月29日 · Discotek Media announced at Otakon that they have licensed Digimon Adventure 02. The show will get a dubbed Blu-ray set, followed by a subbed Blu-ray set later. I'm the producer of the releases.

2018年2月27日 · The 25 year time skip was baffling but i’ve finally deciphered the real meaning behind it. Don’t fall for the 02 epilogue’s false narrative where it shows that Yamato became an astronaut and that “Everyone lived happily ever after”, that was a propaganda piece/PR management made by the Govt to paint a rosy picture of the Digidestined around the globe.

There are a few theories to line up 02 and Kizuna. My favorite is based around wording, “when your potential is no longer limitless like a child’s, you lose your digimon”, Gennai himself says something along the lines of “well, if you find more potential inside of you somewhere you may be able to stop the countdown” in Kizuna.

Some love how it expanded the world of Digimon and gave us a look into how the original characters aged up. Others aren’t fans of how the series handled its overall plot and that the new characters couldn’t hold up to the originals.
