2024年10月19日 · Early voting in New York State will be held this year from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3. Voters registered in Suffolk County can vote at any one of the 28 early voting sites in the county, but if they vote on Election Day, Nov. 5 (between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.), they can only vote at their designated polling place (you can find your regular polling place at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov)

2024年11月20日 · The New York State Legislature passed a bill last June banning the harvesting of horseshoe crabs for bait and biomedical purposes, and environmental groups are pressuring Governor Kathy Hochul to sign the bill before the end of the year.. Connecticut and New Jersey already have bans on the harvesting of horseshoe crabs in place, and Massachusetts has strict restrictions on their harvest.
