It's something. "Yes Mix" sounds really awkward to me, and more casual than someone who may prefer to hear "Yes Sir/Maam" I would like to toss out using "Yessum". To me this has historically been a shortening of "yes Maa'am" but is literally "yes m" where M could be Ma'am or Mister. It rolls off the tongue nicely in spoken conversation.
