2024年11月14日 · A couple of things that might help from a vertical pellet smoker owner. Fill that aluminum pan half way with warm or hot water. That will stabilize the temperature much better, especially when you open the door. Get a smoke tube and fill it with 50/50 pellets and wood chips. That will give you much better smoke penetration.

2010年4月1日 · The main function is to spread the heat out evenly. You will always have hot spots in your fire, so when you have a water pan (or sand pan), those hot spots hit the water pan, and the water evens the temp out, so the heat coming up from the water pan is all the same temp.
