2015年4月13日 · The Savage 99 .243 I haven't had the chance to look at this one yet but its just as nice as the other Savage 99 plus I am already better set up for .243 but if a 300 or 308 comes up I might snap one up. Right now I know of a Winchester Model 88 in 308 for $525.00 more reasonable price that one is another option.

2013年11月17日 · The Savage model 99 is a classic deer rifle, my father used one for over 30 years and I used it after him for another 30 years. We both put our share of venison on the tAble with that gun.

2013年3月12日 · They dominated the ammunition business with the 303Savage, 300 Savage, 250 Savage, etc. You should still be able to find 303 Savage ammo with some work or roll your own. Model 99 Savages seem to be going up in value and those that I see that are in 'good' condition are in the $800+ range vs. $600 a few years ago.

2017年12月4日 · I really like these Savage model 99's I also have the same style of gun stock. I have been trying to find a Savage Model 99 in .243 but haven't lucked into one yet. I really like the .300 Savage chambering but brass is expensive & buying dies and powder it does add up.

2023年10月20日 · The Model 1899 was offered in .22 High Power, 25-35 Winchester, .250-3000 ( not 25-3000), 30-30 Winchester, .303 Savage, and 38-55. Later they shortened the name to Model 99, discontinued some chamberings, and introduced the .300 Savage. Later still, they modified the internals to accommodate the .308 Winchester and rounds based on it.

2017年1月6日 · Ok after doing some looking online it appears that my Savage Model 99 at the time it was setup for a scope the scope base that was used is a Redfield JR99R one piece scope base.The Tapped & drilled holes appear to fit this base. 3 screws. So If anyone can help me find a Redfield JR 99R scope base for a Savage 99 this is what I need.

2014年3月19日 · I tend to agree with Trigger Creep, I would suggest to the OP to find a nice Savage Model 99 in either .308 Winchester or .300 Savage. There are more loads for the .308 but also a few in .300 Savage, when I got my Model 99 I took it to the LGS and from the serial # mine was made in 1936.
