Ranking hokage by strength I find : Naruto Hashirama Tsunade Minato Sarutobi tobirama Kakashi. Tsunade may not be the stronggest 1v1 but her important supporting abilities and chakra amount make her way more interesting than other kages.

Shikamaru is Hokage for probably 4 years now and that's a long time. Unlike Danzo who did not become officially Hokage. Or does it mean the 1st Boruto episode is gonna be retconned? Idk.

I designed that he would wear a tabard because it works as a kind of "evolution" of the waist-sash worn by Asuma, and the cape used by Hiruzen. On his back it would have the letters for "Eighth Hokage" written down vertically. Kinda like this. Except you wouldn't be able to read it most of the time due to the scarf covering it.

Prior to Naruto, aka Ninja Christ the hokage for the last couple years only sat up in a office, did, paperwork and rarely even gets screen time.
