Its power is (12V x 12V)/18 ohms= 8W. To reach 1200W you need 1200W/8W= 150 strings of carbon fiber wire that is 0.545m long.

2015年12月8日 · The main PITA with carbon fiber will be if its conductive, if you can use a high resin low carbon type layup and get the resistance sufficiently high it could be workable as a PCB core material. When PCBs are made, the though holes are plated, so you'd end up with resistance between each though hole if its not high enough resistance.

2016年12月19日 · Well there are a number of alternatives but given the desire to run from 12VDC and limit the current to 4A and about 50W max magnet wire would have to be pretty thin to have sufficient resistance in the 3 ohm range so the simplest method looks to be the use of metalized power resistors bonded to the aluminum plate.

They work very well but they don't last very long because most of these are over-driven or maybe just crap build. I also have a few clone Nichrome wire heating element with metal sleeve.

2025年1月16日 · One fuse is on TRIAC pin 2. The latter has been blown so that explains why there's no power to the heating element. I'm 100% sure it wasn't blown before because I tested the TRIAC through the wires connected to these fuses. The insulation on the wire connected to the blown fuse is degraded and cracked open.
