On Wednesday, German press agency dpa reported that Spain's National Police had busted a money counterfeiting ring that had allegedly been putting fake €2 coins into circulation all across Europe.

Agents of the National Police, in a joint operation with the Mossos d’Esquadra and EUROPOL, have dismantled the largest workshop for the manufacture of counterfeit 2-euro coins in Spain.
