Pilot Joe Buley has seen objects moving across the night sky before, including satellites and shooting stars. But the bright orange light seen zipping above the Eugene area was clearly different.

A rough-scaled death adder was found camouflaged under leaves, near the popular swimming spot of Buley Rockhole at Litchfield National Park in the Northern Territory, earlier this month.

“Just scooching and jumping,” said Adam Buley about the technique of cross-country skiing. Theresa Buley and her husband have tried cross-country skiing only one other time, two years ago.
