Hi to you. From Kuta it will take approx 4 hours depending on traffic. Yes there are little grocery shops locally. But small but stock pretty much everything but dairy as that is not common. Negara is the main town around 20km from Medewi so you can always shop there. There are a couple of great cafes in the local area so you will not have problems. Go and enjoy a beautiful part of Bali as it used to be. Cheers
