My family and I were all beginners and as long as you have a reasonable sense of adventure and don’t mind cold water the guides do a fabulous job on helping you through. We all did the Black Labyrinth not the Abyss (which also involves abseiling down into the cave).
I am a person with a fear of deep water and cannot swim, but the rafting tours look super fun! After looking at the Black Labyrinth and the Black Abyss descriptions, my question is: would I likely be comfortable doing one of these tours? I have almost drowned before and wanted to make sure that I know what I'm getting into before I book so I don't make the mistake of going too far beyond my comfort level. If I could know details of how deep the water gets and what the most daredevil of stunts I'll have to do for each tour, that would be awesome! Thanks so much in advance. :)

Hi there, I did Black Labyrinth- about 2 hours total. The water is fairly deep in some places but not out of depth deep and quite fast flowing but in those spots you are floating along in your rubber ring. You have two occasions where you jump backwards from a waterfall ( not particularly high) onto your ring and down into the water- you might find this challenging with your history because you are briefly fully submerged . My husband and I absolutely loved the whole thing and the guides were fantastic but we have no problem with water. There is no swimming involved from what I remember but if you have a fear of water that’s a different matter. It’s pretty dark and narrow at times . Personally I would have gone round and done it again immediately, it’s such fun. Good luck !
